Family Therapy
A supportive space for families to understand each other, ease conflict and navigate change together.
How it helps
Family therapy understands difficulties in the context of relationships rather than blaming any one person. It draws on systemic and attachment-based approaches with good evidence for adolescent difficulties, family conflict and adjustment to change.
Sessions help family members truly hear each other, shift unhelpful patterns and rebuild connection.
Who it's for

What to expect
First family session
We meet together to understand everyone's perspective and the patterns at play.
Understanding patterns
We map the cycles that keep conflict or distance going.
Structured work
Sessions rebuild understanding, communication and connection.
Consolidation
Your family leaves with shared tools and a way forward.
Fees & funding
Family therapy is generally not Medicare-rebatable, as the rebate applies to a diagnosed individual condition rather than the family. Some private health 'extras' contribute — check with your insurer. We'll confirm the fee before your first session.
